Morality and the Law
Dr. Loeb has been a member of the UVM Philosophy faculty for more than 16 years, during which time has conducted research and published articles on issues of morality and has taught courses in jurisprudence, political philosophy and ethics.
He served for several years as director of the UVM Honors Program where he taught a variety of classes and together with Professor Alan Wertheimer, prepared a syllabus for Honors College students on "Making Ethical Choices".
Dr. Loeb holds a JD and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
He began his working life as an aide to the Watergate Special Prosecution Force and later collaborated with a Washington, DC law firm on ethical and legal issues before the United States Supreme Court. He also wrote a brief on assisted suicide that was filed in that venue.
