October 31, November 7, and November 21

Three of our speakers this fall are visiting from the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum in Vergennes. The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum offers opportunities for on-water adventures, gallery browsing, and armchair exploration. Their website (http://www.lcmm.org) has information about their programs, their fleet of historic and modern boats (including the schooner Lois McClure, the topic of our November 7 lecture), and upcoming events.

The three speakers from the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum are:

  • Oct. 31...Christopher Sabick: "Valcour Bay Research Project: 10 Years of Work on a Submerged Revolutionary War Battlefield Site"

  • Nov. 7....Erick Tichonuk: "Sailing Canal Schooner Lois McClure: Her History, Archaeology, and Travels"

  • Nov. 21...Art Cohn (Executive Director): "The Legacy of History and Archaeology: A 400 year Perspective on Lake Champlain"
